At the completion of this chapter a student shall be able to:

• list the steps of manual cleaning and sanitizing with chemicals
• list the steps of manual cleaning and sanitizing without chemicals
• define rules for storage of cleaning chemicals
• define rules of storage of cleaning chemicals in a work area
• determine correct chemical levels using a test kit
• choose the most efficient method of pest control
• define a PCO
• relate the association between the MSDS sheet and chemicals in the workplace.

At the completion of this chapter an advanced student shall be able to perform the prior objectives and in addition to shall be able to:

• define the components of the MSDS sheet
